We did it everyone! The Digital Calculator can now (finally) fully subtract!!! While you can't input negative numbers (yet), you can however get negative integers as an answer (i.e. 4 - 9 = -5 as shown below to the right) Now, I know it has been a really long time since I last posted, but in the almost three months I wasn't posting, I managed to complete the HUGE subtractor. The reason it took so long is because I had to replicate the same circuit (modified AND Gate) SO MANY TIMES!!! The subtractor is 3 TIMES LARGER than the adder. Later I will make a post where I will explain how everything works and my thought process; but for now, here is the usual slideshow of new pics. This picture illustrates what I just added to the calculator. The huge subtractor in the top left, a room that will explain how everything works on the bottom left, the hipster piston door at the middle right, and the circuitry that was released in May. It really shows how big the subtractor is compared to the little tiny adder. It's the biggest circuit in the calculator, bigger than the RAM on the bottom right (Green, Black, Grey, and Red), and bigger than the program memory in the top right (purple). I would go as far to say that it is almost the same size as the entire old build, but almost. Below are the links to the downloads page and my planet minecraft page. Also if you made it this far in the post, thank you so very much!! If you enjoy my posts, please subscribe to my weekly newsletter, download the map, and comment in the section below!

Today number 13 had been added to the digital calculator! The download has been updated!
3 of my biggest redstone contraptions, one world, pure awesome! This world includes 3 math/binary related contraptions: a counter, binary adder, and digital calculator. The counter is a work in progress (that I probably won't ever finish :P ). the binary adder is fully functional, but I would suggest that you learn the basics of binary before using, otherwise you might have no idea what anything means. The beast of them all, the digital calculator, is about 70% complete. It can add any (one digit) number with another (one digit) number. So far the highest it can go is 12, and the lowest it can go is 0. In a couple days, I will add 13 a 18 to the program memory, so it should be able to add up to 18 (the highest it will go). I suggest you check it out, just to see how much redstone is involved. Trust me your mind will be blown! See this map on planet minecraft
Hello everyone! About a week ago I uploaded the beta version of my redstone bunker to this blog. After doing so, I thought, "what other things I could make to show off my map making/redstone skills?" The first thing I imediately thought of was: Redstone Computer. To be honest, at the time I did not have a lot of knowlage about how computers work. I searched on Google, "how a computer works" and quickly (in about a week) learned how it opperates. Using binary code (off/on), electric signals run through different parts of the computer on a clock until the clock is turned off. Now I wanted to find out how I would simulate this in minecraft. So, I looked it up on youtube. What I found was shocking. There was only one good quality and in English tutorial that I could find. After watching the tutorial and hearing the youtuber say how there are hardly any tutorials for the topic, my brain went, AH HA!, I would make a tutorial on how to make a redstone computer.
I recently finished making my first ever minecraft computer (which is really just a calculator) and now I want to show you how to make a super awesome redstone computer to impress all of your friends and teach you about real life engineering/computers/binary code. My tutorials will be in the form of a video and will be posted on my YouTube Channel, as well as embeded here. So stay tuned and happy building! |
AuthorHi. My name is Joe. I have always wanted to share my ideas about Minecraft. I am a map maker, and a darn good one if I do say so myself. I would love to share all of my ideas with all of you and give you tips on how to build better in the game. Categories |
